About

Laetitia Delfino is a piano teacher, accompanist, and composer living and teaching on Bainbridge Island, WA. She studied under Dr. Cathrine Kautsky and graduated summa cum laude from Lawrence University Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance in 2016. She volunteered for the Bainbridge Ometepe Sister Islands Association in Nicaragua from 2016-2017 and served as an AmeriCorps volunteer in rural Oregon from 2017-2018.

Originally intending to pursue a career in collaborative piano as a vocal accompanist, Laetitia injured her right wrist in her junior year of college due to strain while playing piano. She graduated by playing a left-hand-only recital.

Over a four-year period, thanks to the teaching and guidance of Dr. Teresa Dybvig from The Well Balanced Pianist, Laetitia relearned how to play. She is filled with deep gratitude to be able to play her beloved instrument without pain.

Today, Laetitia is an active musician and music teacher in her community while also taking care of her young daughter, born in 2022. She and her husband continue to be enthusiastic gardeners and cooks, enjoying the processes of making seasonal jam, drying flowers and herbs, making cider, and baking bread.
